In this episode I talk about my new awesome google glasses, how cool they are and where they are going in terms of what will happen in the market place and their impact and then I answer a few question about Big Data and why AI is heading to Big Data and what Big Data can mean. As we hit the end of this year and slate other computer sales slows more products like Glass (see http://glass.google.com/ ) or SpaceGlass (see https://www.spaceglasses.com/ ) will start becoming commercially viable which will be part of new classes of mobile computing devices that will become increasingly popular.

Special Edition: What I Really Do for a Living (the developer side)

Ok so my job title is ‘Principal UX Architect’ for an interactive design and marketing digital agency.  Typically I have a hard time explaining what that is let alone what a UX Architect is.  Part of what I do is technical,  and that is doing programming or software engineering and the other part is artsy designee things.  Now granted a lot of my work is UX ‘Design’ so things like wireframing, persona and user story development, and traditional ui design kinds of things but I also get into helping with market strategy analysis and the like.  As a Microsoft MVP I get to drink a lot of their kool-aide and I was recently asked to be part of the keynote of a Microsoft internal conference and they did this video from the developer standpoint to play right before I walked on stage.  Here it is and hopefully it will help explain some of what I do.

Special Edition: Vote DavidJKelley for Humanity Plus Board of Directors

meme2.smallSeeing as its my podcast I figure a nice shameless plug (in the form of this special edition podcast) is in order for any one out there that is a member of H+ and why they should vote me in as a member of the board of directors in the upcoming election.  Besides the fact that I have the most real world practical experience, the most money, the most resources, my own full time staff and the most passion; the really important point is when I do something I actually do it (unlike the bulk of tranhumanity as a demographic, which is some what dubious to call it a single demographic as pointed out by the demographic study linked below).  If you want to see H+ actually do something for real then I have a proven track record of motivation, persistence and execution.  Vote David J Kelley (and listen to this special edition Podcast below)…

Episode 9: The Harbinger of Death for the PC, Google Assimilates Kurzweil and the Death of the Mouse

Kurzweil

Kurzweil

In this episode I talk about some of the current stuff going on in the industry specifically and what I think about it. For example, how some shining star(s) seems to be surprised that PC sales have continued to drop even though 60 million licenses for Windows 8 have sold.  Further we’ll touch on what it means that Kurzweil now works at Google and the new emerging home industrial revolution of DIY’ers and Why the Mouse will not be going any where anytime soon.

Episode 4: Surface Final Judgment

And in the last days Surface Pro shall come out and we all shall rejoice as we blindly follow the light and light of the world coming from Redmond or maybe we are drinking too much kool-aide. Pass me another cup…

Check out this episode where futurist Ryan Lane and I try to have a fair discussion about Surface and what we think about its future place amount the pilferer of device out in the marketplace and we try to predict the future at least of personal computers over the next several years.
